  AGI is named the distributor and official agent for GE Plastics
  Construction Department set up, beginning of distribution of SABIC® Lexan Thermoclear

  AGI wins the GE Plastics award for "Best Agent of the Year 1993"

• 1995

  Received quality system certification in accordance with the ISO 9001:1994 international standard, positioning itself in the market as one of the first certified service companies in Portugal

• 2002

  Guzman Group acquires 50% of AGI’s capital from the Guimarães family

• 2004

  Beginning of distribution of TRESPA® phenolic compact laminates

• 2006

  Winner of the "Best Iberian Distributor TRESPA® 2006” award, presented by TRESPA® International

• 2007

  Acquisition of new warehouses (totalling 2,400 m²) in Espinho

• 2009

  AGI purchases 60% of the Spanish company, ROMGOM S.L.U., thus beginning the process of internationalisation on the Iberian Peninsula and strengthening its presence in the construction market

• 2009

  Conclusion of the audit process for ISO 9001: 2008, making this the company’s 19th year of certification

• 2012

  Acquisition of the remaining 40% of the company, ROMGOM S.L.U., thereby assuming full ownership

• 2013

  As a result of the consolidation of AGI on the Iberian Peninsula, ROMGOM S.L.U., becomes AGI Spain, incorporating the Industry Equipment Department and Construction Materials Department into the commercial offer
