On September 30th, AGI, in collaboration with the CEP (Spanish Plastics Centre), hosted a technical webinar dedicated to the efficiency of robotics and automation in the plastics industry, focusing on WEMO solutions.
The event saw the participation of over 60 professionals from the sector, all interested in learning about the latest applications of robotics in optimising production processes.
During the one-hour session, Jorge Serrano, AGI Product and Sales Manager and equipment specialist, presented seven real-life customer success cases, practically demonstrating how WEMO robotics contributes to increasing productivity, reducing operating costs, and improving the overall efficiency of production lines.
Featured Success Cases
🔹 Plásticos Clossa: Automation of flash trimming and pedal manufacturing, increasing precision and reducing cycle times.
🔹 IML and IMD Systems: Integration into packaging processes, optimising label placement and direct decoration onto the mould.
🔹 BD Fraga (Medical Sector): Combination of robots for multi-cavity automation, ensuring maximum repeatability and safety.
🔹 Norject: Implementation of full automation, from part extraction to palletisation, enhancing the efficiency of the entire process.
🔹 Plimat: Customisation of WEMO robots with high-resistance materials, adapted to demanding working conditions, which extends the system’s lifespan.
Conclusions and Next Steps
Through the precision, repeatability, and ease of integration of WEMO robots, it was demonstrated how companies in the plastics sector can boost their competitiveness, reduce waste, and ensure more efficient and sustainable processes.
At AGI, we work side-by-side with leading international manufacturers, offering technological solutions that meet the productivity and innovation demands of modern industry.
